Willem Gerritsen

Willem began directing while studying Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. Without formal training, he created standout music videos and commercials. His international career launched after winning a Young Director Award at Cannes, followed by awards at D&AD, Epica, ADC and Eurobest. He earned two bronze Cannes Lions for viral films that reached over 40 million views. From bold comedy to rich visuals and grounded emotion, Willem is an all-rounder and devoted craftsman, shaping authentic characters and the worlds they inhabit.
